Katelyn and Erich met me at Laketown Beach for their engagement session during the time that the Canadian wildfires were happening just north of Michigan. Because of the wind direction so much smoke from the fires covered a majority of Michigan making visibility poor. We went back and forth about whether or not they still wanted to do their session but ultimately decided to go for it and I’m so glad we did! The light from the sunset hit the smoke covering Lake Michigan just right giving us the most unique back drop for photos. We spent the whole session laughing and I truly had so much fun with them. This session goes to show that even when weather conditions aren’t perfect you can still capture beautiful photos.
