my why

A question I'm asked often is "why are you a photographer?" The answer for me is quite easy. My mom. Growing up she was always taking photos of our family. Documenting each milestone, everyday moments, the mundane. I have thousands of photos of my life with my family and friends because of her. I quickly realized that not every family took that many photos and some hardly any. In 2019 she was the one who encouraged me to start my own photography business. Doing whatever she could to encourage me and support me. I wanted to capture moments, memories rather, for other people like she did for me. In 2021 my mom passed away from cancer. Now all I have left of her is memories and hundreds of photos with her. My dearest treasures. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for my mom. I take so much joy in carrying on her legacy and capturing memories for others. So that you can have photos with your loved ones to pass down for generations. Everyone deserves that.
